Sport
Macksville High School meets the mandatory Department of Education sport requirement by offering a variety of sports options of a Wednesday afternoon. All students are expected to participate in sport each week.
Year 11 and 12 students only are exempt from Wednesday Sport. Students who are injured and cannot participate in sport must bring a note. Students who misbehave at sport will be placed on a sport detention the following week.
Sports offered may include:
- tennis
- soccer
- fishing
- golf
- football (4 codes)
- table tennis
- swimming/surfing
- volleyball
- netball
- basketball
Students participate in three sporting carnivals throughout the year. These are normal school days and as such students are expected to attend. Students are strongly encouraged to dress in their house colours and earn points for their team by participating.
